What every GST invoice must contain

  • Supplier's name, address and GSTIN, plus a consecutive invoice number and date
  • Recipient's name, address and GSTIN (for B2B), and the place of supply
  • Description, quantity, unit price and taxable value of each item
  • GST rate and amount — CGST + SGST for intra-state, IGST for inter-state
  • Signature or digital signature of the supplier or authorised person
